Mobility and Cross-Border travel is one of the most complex issues presenting in family law. Cross-border mediation is not designed to replace jurisdiction of the Court but to increase self- empowerment by both mediation participants pending further judicial consideration. FCM provides security and a structured process as participants develop joint decision making and opportunities for reduced parental conflict.

As an officer of the Court, parents can nominate our FCM Mobility Mediator to assist in developing interim or temporary arrangements regarding the security of the child(ren), retention of official documents (birth certificate, passport, health card, medicine, pharmaceutical or health plan), or parental contact and financial arrangements.
